About Ridgeline
We are an organization of passionate riders and archers who love mounted archery! Our club has opportunities for people to start from zero experience, learn from top quality instructors and participate in world qualifying competitions. Students can participate in our active club program and participate regularly in lessons and practices, take focused private lessons from our head coach, or travel to us and learn from one of our intensive clinics. Please enquire for travel clinics away from our home base.

Beginner - Advanced
Entry Level and International Competitions
Our club is a program where you can learn, practice and compete with like minded individuals. It is open to people interested in mounted archery, riding, or archery. The club membership fee is $150.00 a year for active members. The club runs year-round in 12 week terms with lesson options from 1-3 times a week. Lesson fees are additional to the membership fee. Ages 9 and up are welcome to join our club. For ages 4-9 we have our Little Carrot Club which is tailored to young children. The Club cares for highly trained horses as well as keeps an inventory of equipment. All students are required to complete tidy up and horse care after their lesson and all club members are required to complete 20 volunteer hours annually.

Horsemanship Class
Working with horses is more than just riding! Our club has a weekly horsemanship class where students learn care, training and equine science. A different topic is taught each term.
Winter Term Horsemanship
Horse Training 102
This course covers practical hands on horse training for students that have a basic knowledge of behaviour science. Each student will be assigned a horse to work with in this class. This is a hands on class. Students will be guided through training ground skills with their horse.
This class meets once a week. There are two class times students can choose from or attend both. These are Wednesdays at 5:30 and Sundays at 3:30. This class is open to students outside our program. Please reach out over the contact page if you are interested in joining.
Archery Practice
We meet twice a week for ground archery practice. There is always an instructor present for club practice who leads exercises and runs the range safely. Ground archery practices are Fridays at 2:30 and Sunday at 12:30. Practices do not run during our breaks.

Advanced Training with Specialized Instruction
Mastery path is for students who are serious about pursuing mastery of the art of horsemanship. Instruction is specialized for each individual and tailored to their equine partner. This is an ongoing program with an emphasis on focused, purpose driven training. Students are expected to have an ongoing equine partner for their focus and be regularly riding and training on their own. Available only by application or invitation to students who have graduated from the equestrian school or have equivalent experience. Lessons are taught by world class instructor Carey Elmring Norland.
