ABOUT RIDGELINE
Ridgeline Mounted Archers is an organization specializing in the 3000 year art of classical mounted archery. Students travel from all over the world to learn from our incredible instructors. Our program offers an entry-level equestrian school, advanced training program, and clinics all over the world. Our home facility is located in beautiful Eugene, Oregon where we keep our highly trained competition and school horses.

Aspiring mounted archers outside our home base area in Eugene, Oregon follow our 3-tiered clinic system to mastery of mounted archery. These clinics are designed for students outside our area who own or lease a horse. There are limited spot school horse clinics once a year at our facility in Eugene, Oregon. Riders pay an increased fee to ride on of our horses in the clinic.

Classical Mounted Archery

Intensive
Mounted Archery requires riders to progress through walk, archery skills and controlled shooting phases.
A minimum of 3 days is required to safely reach trot work.
Foundations includes 3 days of intensive mounted archery learning. This includes vital sessions such as ground archery skills establishment and equipment introduction for horses. All riders should be capable of performing mounted archery at a trot on the third day. Some may progress further based on rider and horse readiness.

At Ridgeline

Progressions at Ridgeline is designed for students who have taken lessons at Ridgeline or attended a Foundations Clinic. It focuses on building intermediate and advanced skills including work on the battlefield and scorched earth courses. It is a 1 or 2 day workshop with 4 limited spots for riders on our horses.

Foundations is designed for students who own or lease their own horse and are comfortable at walk and trot. This clinic will be three days of intensive foundational training for you and your horse in Mounted Archery. Equipment is provided. Overnight or daily haul-in options available.
