Carey's Coaching Philosophy

"My top priority is to keep my students safe physically, emotionally and socially. I focus early on teaching and following safety protocol and helping students build a solid foundation on skills. I practice positive, encouraging and collaborative coaching techniques, and empower students to be confident in themselves. I work hard to create a positive atmosphere in group lessons so students can have a positive, supportive sense of community. I value optimism and truly believe my students can achieve their goals. Being able to laugh off a tough ride and have fun even when you lose makes the difference between sticking through it and giving up. Helping students achieve their goals is very important to me. I love when someone has a big goal and has the motivation and drive to see it through, and I am always their biggest supporter.
